Per K. Rasmussen
Managing Director, chartered engineer — founder of TurboCast
Per K. Rasmussen has worked with castings for sewer, road and district heating for around 30 years, most recently as Managing Director of Ulefos in Denmark. He knows the foundries, the standards and public procurement from the inside — and over the years he has spoken with practically every municipality and utility in the country about exactly these item numbers.
TurboCast is built on what customers kept asking for: the right load classes, documentation that can go straight into a tender response, and a price that is not set by a wholesaler.
info@turbocast.dkThe background
A market with too few suppliers
The Danish market for sewer castings has been dominated by very few players for decades. The result is few bids per tender, high unit prices and limited room for negotiation for the public buyer.
TurboCast was established to change that where the volume actually sits: carriageway covers and frames in Ø600 mm plus gratings in Ø315 mm. Those line items account for the vast majority of annual consumption at a typical municipality or utility.
Our model is simple. We buy from established foundries, we sell directly to client and contractor, and we keep the range tight enough to stand behind both price and lead time. It is not a broader catalogue than our competitors' — it is a sharper one.
The team
A passionate team with deep industry experience
TurboCast is more than one person. Behind the company is a team of specialists who have worked with castings, infrastructure and public procurement for many years.
We care about making sewer and road materials available, transparent and reliable to deliver. Our people come from the industry itself — with experience from foundries, technical sales, civil works and municipal tenders. That means we speak the same language as contractors, consultants and buyers alike.
A long-standing industry standard is not a slogan here; it is how we assess products, check documentation and answer enquiries. When you call or write, you meet people who know the difference between EN 124, load class D400 and what a Danish winter demands of surface treatment.
How we work
Three principles
Technical honesty
We state load class, standard, material and weight for every item — even when that means another solution is the right one for the job.
No middlemen
We sell directly from foundry to client. That removes a layer of cost and a layer of responsibility when something needs following up.
Delivery reliability over catalogue breadth
We carry fewer item numbers, but the most used ones in depth. A bid is only worth something if the item can actually be delivered.
Talk directly to the Managing Director
At TurboCast there is no chain of sales reps. Technical questions, quotes and market dialogue go straight to Per.
